Ivan D. Lobo is a former Lecturer at University of Los Andes School of Management in Bogota, Colombia who is currently studying a PhD in Political Ecology at University College London (London, UK). He also holds an MSc in Social Policy and Planning from the London School of Economics and Political Science (London, UK), and an MSc in Political Science and B.A. in Industrial Engineering both from University of Los Andes (Bogota, Colombia). His current research and teaching interests are focused on the political economy of social and environmental conflicts with particular emphasis on the interplay between community leadership, the development of productive entrepreneurial initiatives and community governance in the Pacific region of Colombia.
