Dr. Gabriela Lichtenstein is Regional IASC Coordinator for Latin America and IUCN´s Regional Vice-Chair for Meso and South America. Since 2001 she has been working as an Independent Researcher at the National Research Council (CONICET) Argentina based at the National Institute for Anthropology and Latin American Thought (INAPL). She is a Lecturer for Master courses at the University of Buenos Aires and University of San Martin (UNSAM). Her research interests include the study of wildlife as commons, articulating research results with policy. Since 2013 she is the Director of a project financed by the Ministry of Science and Technology of Argentina on the establishment of a commodity chain for the guanaco fiber (PA.IS).
